Proactive employees are nowadays crucial for organizations to adapt to changes in their environment and remain competitive. A specific form of proactive behavior is job crafting, whereby individuals make changes in their work to align job characteristics with their preferences and motivations. Employees may also engage in cognitive job crafting, that is, they may alter the meaning of their work. An important venue for research is the concept or organisational crafting, whereby individuals, in relation with their co-workers,  try to make behavioral or cognitive changes to their organisation.
