In this research theme we explore how emerging technologies and shifting organizational demands shape well-being, motivation, and performance. A key focus is the role of contemporary leadership and self-leadership in helping employees navigate dynamic work environments while pursuing meaningful work. But people are not just passive recipients of change. We therefore also consider how personal characteristics and proactive behaviors such as job crafting and activism affect well-being, motivation and performance, and help shape more supportive environments- within and outside the work context.
